More about Railway Funicular
The Railway Funicular in Zagreb is the shortest service of this kind in all Europe but, even if it is a little ride up the hill, it’s really enchanting and funny going up in these little wagons and starting from here the adventure in the Upper Town, one of the most beautiful and characteristic parts of the Croatian capital. Form the start in Tomićeva Street, up the hill, you will jump on one of the centerian wagons which will bring you up while you can admire the buildings around you, reaching then the Lotršćak Tower. Only 66 meters for a one minute ride (very cheap as well!), every ten minutes from the morning till the night, and you will really enjoy it!
Considered the safest way to travel in the world, thanks to its hundred years without accidents, in the past sometimes it lost power and passengers had to push the wagons! However, this makes a ride on the funicular only more suggestive!
